Elizabeth Panov

Music Educator & Certified Examiner

Elizabeth Panov was born in Bulli, New South Wales, to a proud Macedonian family. Her journey in music began at the age of seven, when she started singing in her local Baptist church in Woonona. From those early experiences, music became both her passion and her calling.

Alongside music, Elizabeth briefly studied dance but soon faced a choice between her two paths. She followed her heart into music, expanding her studies in guitar. By the age of 16, she had already achieved her BMG Diploma in Guitar. She completed Year 11 and 12 music through the Conservatorium, where she also advanced her vocal studies. After Year 12, Elizabeth continued her musical journey, studying at the Wollongong Conservatorium and Sydney Conservatorium, where she pursued a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Music Education.

With over 40 years of teaching experience, Elizabeth has dedicated her career to nurturing students of all ages. She specializes in vocal technique, while also teaching piano and guitar, her three core instruments. Beyond teaching, she serves as an examiner for the Australian Guild of Music, contributing her expertise to uphold musical standards across the country.

In 1987, Elizabeth founded the Panov Music Academy in Sutherland and later Forte School of Music, which became a vibrant hub for tuition across all instruments. She also collaborated with the Drama Academy, The Art Umbrella, where musicals and holiday programs thrived for many years.

There was a period when Elizabeth paused teaching to support her family’s business ventures, stepping away for seven years. Yet her devotion to music never faded. Today, she directs Andante Music Studio in Western Sydney, a thriving school that has grown organically through word of mouth. Known for her dedication and devotion to her students, Elizabeth continues to inspire generations of musicians with her passion, discipline, and heart.

Jordan Mandas

Guitar and Piano Instructor

I’m Jordan Mandas, a Guitar and Piano instructor at Andante Music.

After attaining a Band 6 in Music for my HSC, I completed a Bachelor of Music at the Australian Institute of Music. Following this, I graduated from The Australian Guild of Music with a Licentiate Diploma in Guitar. Between my two formal music qualifications, I have specialised in performance, composition and production. This was a strategic decision that ensures I am a well rounded musician.

Since joining the Andante team in February of 2023, I have also become a classroom music teacher at a local primary school. I have taught students as young as 5, and as old as 50 and over. I do not believe in using age as a limiting factor as I believe everyone is capable of advancing their connection with music. My teaching philosophy is deeply intertwined with my growth mindset and my rich desire to empower students by showing them that they are capable of improvement. When a child realises that they can with focus, discipline and enthusiasm, they can do the same in academics, sport and personal goals.

While I am always happy to guide students to learn the music relevant to their taste and their journey, I have an eclectic range of music that I tend to gravitate toward and that I have played and composed for. Classical music, modern progressive guitar music and film music have been on my radar for years. I will admit, however, that early 2010s pop and TikTok hits are a huge guilty pleasure of mine…

I love teaching music because watching students realise that they have the power to be better than they were yesterday. Aside from it being deeply fulfilling to cultivate in others, it is a reminder to myself that I can overcome my current musical challenges just as I help my students to do on a daily basis.

When I’m not teaching, I’m either trying to nail a ridiculous guitar solo, writing an original piece, or cooking. If you’ve decided to make music a part of your life, reach out to Andante music and work with me to make it happen!

Victoria Rose

A Life in the Arts-Music Educator & Performer

From her very first steps onto the stage, Victoria Rose knew that performing would be more than a passion—it would be her purpose. Beginning with singing and dancing in childhood, her love for the arts expanded to acting and modelling, shaping a versatile career built on creativity and expression.

Victoria’s voice is her most powerful instrument, effortlessly moving between Musical Theatre, Pop, and Operatic styles. Signature songs such as One Moment in Time, Defying Gravity, and Never Enough hold special meaning for her, reflecting a journey defined by ambition, resilience, and artistry.

Her dedication to growth led her to pursue higher education, earning a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting from JMC Academy (2020), followed by both an Associate Diploma of Music (2021) and a Licentiate Diploma of Music (2022). In recognition of her outstanding achievements, she was awarded NSW Dux Artium of the Year for both diplomas—clear testament to her commitment and mastery of her craft.

Victoria’s artistry has brought her to some of Australia’s most iconic stages, including the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, where she has captivated audiences with her commanding presence. Now a dedicated music educator, Victoria shares her passion with the next generation. With three years of teaching experience, she has guided students to achieve high distinctions while fostering confidence, creativity, and joy in their craft.
